On Thursday, March 17, in partnership with the wrestling club Perjanik from Podgorica, we organized an evening of self-defense! The participants had the opportunity to warm up for training, learn basic movements useful for self-defense, and finally, we had a lot of fun! We express our great gratitude to coach Boris Bošković, without whom this workshop would not be of the same quality!

The NGO Naša Akcija signed a contract with the NGO Prima for the implementation of the “Career Info Corner” project, which aims to improve the advocacy of the employability of young people from vulnerable (NEET) groups.
We will implement the “Career Info Corner” project in two Montenegrin municipalities, Podgorica and Kotor.

On Thursday, February 24, the “Time Management” workshop was held in the Multimedia Hall of the Municipality of Tivat, which was organized for young people and women as part of the career counseling program for young people. The goal of this workshop is to define the key areas that contribute to the achievement of personal goals and establish the foundations on which we make daily decisions, as well as in the long term. The participants of this workshop had the opportunity to learn more about how they can work to improve personal efficiency and productivity, as well as some very useful techniques that can help them organize and manage their time.
The workshop was led by the executive director of the NGO Our Action, Dejan Bešovic, and the activity was supported by the European Endowment for Democracy.
On Thursday, we successfully conducted a CV and motivation letter making workshop. Dejana and Nina gave us advice through interesting tools and pointed out some mistakes that can be found in our CV or notification letter.

NGO Naša Akcija held an event on entrepreneurship for young people called “Entrepreneurship in Montenegro”, as part of the Career Counseling program funded by the European Endowment for Democracy.
This event was attended by young people from the NGO Naša Akcija interested in the field of entrepreneurship. Also, members of the Tivat Youth Team joined. The workshop was held by Carine Hitchcock, the founder of Tivat Mini Condos, who is a French-British citizen and has been living in Montenegro since 2008. She moved to Montenegro after studying business administration and finance at La Sorbonne University in Paris. She worked in the marina for super-yachts Porto Montenegro in Tivat in 2009 as a business manager. After that, she started her own real estate development business “Catareos” and built the first complex of 12 luxury eco-friendly apartments in the hills overlooking the Tivat Bay and launched a complementary business focused on long-term rentals “Rentals Montenegro” to help the growing number of expats who settle in Montenegro to find accommodation suitable for living throughout the year. Carine Hitchcock is the only female construction entrepreneur in Montenegro.
During the workshop, there was talk about the departure of young people from Montenegro. Ms. Hitchcock explained the difficult working conditions, high duties and taxes, the security aspect and many other disadvantages that the citizens of Europe and the USA have in relation to the situation in Montenegro and that Montenegro is a fertile and favorable ground for life and the development of entrepreneurship.

Traditional NGO After a short holiday break, our action started the new year with a workshop for strategic planning for NGO work in 2022, as well as setting personal goals for young members. Also, traditionally for the month of January, part of the activities moved to the field, i.e. to the location of the Muo youth educational center, where preparatory work has begun in the garden as well as in the building. The works, which have been going on for a week, were briefly interrupted by the action of collecting acorns, where we joined our friends from the Tivat Youth Team in order to create an oak nursery for the municipalities of Tivat and Kotor.
For the rest of January, walking tours, visits and education about Boka’s cultural heritage, planting and cleaning actions, as well as visits to our friends and partners in the north of Montenegro are planned.
All these activities are part of the program “Nature for the mental and physical health of young people” as well as the life skills development program implemented by the NGO Naša Akcija with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy.
