Completed eco documentary evenings for young people.

The NGO Naša akcija, as part of the Kotor Children’s Theater Festival, has organized screenings of open-air documentary environmental films for young people in the garden of the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurkovic” in Kotor. Screenings included films on the topic of plastic sea pollution and other topics relevant to this age, with subsequent discussion with speakers selected by the organizers. Eco film evenings are part of the Youth Stage that precedes the opening of the Kotor Children’s Theater Festival every year, and are supported by BeMed and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco through the “Youth for a Clean Adriatic” project.

Workshop: “Youth and cultural heritage”

The first workshop “Youth and cultural heritage” was held The first in a series of workshops “Youth and cultural heritage” entitled “Attitude towards cultural monuments” was held last night at the Youth Club in Kotor. The workshop was held by a young activist of the NGO Naša akcija Tea Mandić. After the workshop, the young people had the opportunity to attend the program for the Boka Navy Day and thus get acquainted with its significance and tradition. The aim of these workshops is to strengthen the links between young people and cultural heritage through education and volunteerism, as well as the realization of goals within the UNESCO and European Union programs entitled “Engaging young people for an inclusive and sustainable Europe”. The project is supported by the Municipality of Kotor through the Youth Council and the European Endowment for Democracy. Human rights workshop.

A workshop on human rights was held in Kotor on Friday, June 18. Young members of the NGO Naša akcija as well as young people from the Youth Team Tivat had the opportunity to listen to the lawyer, Council of Europe expert for freedom of expression Siniša Gazivoda. Mr. Gazivoda has a master’s degree in human rights and is currently pursuing a doctorate in EU law. The focus of this workshop is the education of young people in this field and it is realized through the support of the European endowment for democracy.

Renovation of the sundial JU OŠ ‚‚21. May

Today we renewed the sundial that was made back in 2015 in the yard of the elementary school “21. maj” Podgorica in Durres! We refreshed it with new, bright colors, decorated the tree with new leaves, all with the help of the wonderful teacher Dejana Trifunović and our volunteers Hristina, Tee, Kellyn and Nadja. Workshop: Healthy relationships

Tonight in our premises in Podgorica we had the opportunity to enjoy a workshop that our colleagues from Nvo Prima presented to our youth! Also, Aida presented the now traditional camp “Healthy Relationships” which will be held this year in Zabljak. We encourage you all to apply! … This activity was implemented through the “Life Skills” program funded by the European endowment for democracy.

Working weekend in the eco eduko house for young people Muo

The working weekend in the eco eduko house for young people on Muo is over. Through the “Life Skills for Youth” program supported by the European Endowment for Democracy, young volunteers from the NGO Naša akcija planted and finished garden work, dedicated themselves to cleaning the house, repairing plumbing and other parts of the house, and making pallet furniture. They were joined by the youth of the Tivat Youth Team. The house is now ready to receive young volunteers from all over Montenegro to live, work and volunteer in Kotor during the season, and is ready for workshops, education and other activities that will be held in this eco educo house during the summer.

Eco camp for young people, Velika plaža, Ulcinj

Last weekend the NGO Naša akcija held its traditional spring eco camp for young people. This year we joined our friends behind the organization MSJA – Dr. Martin Schneider-Jacoby Association and the project “Coast of Ulcinj without plastic” funded by GIZ, by holding two separate cleaning actions and planting actions. In addition, a new team of young people learned to set up and live in the camp, set up tents, with workshops on ecology as well as the need to protect and the role of sand dunes.

This activity was supported through the project “Advancing the Resolute and Tangible
Environ-mental Implementation of Standards (ARTEMIS) ”, with financial support from the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade, and a project“ Youth for a Clean Adriatic ”supported by BeMed and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco.
