Humanitarian Music Evening for Jovan Cenic

On Wednesday, September 11, a charity music evening was held at Independence Square in Podgorica for little John Cenic, who needed funds to cure cerebral palsy. With a rich music program put together by our young volunteer Jana Raicevic, many townspeople joined in the dance and fun. Enjoyed by the little ones as well as the oldest, 634.69 Euros were collected. This is the third action organized by the NGO Our Action for Jovan in hopes of raising enough money to cure him.

Volunteer Support – Boka Sprint Triathlon

For the second year in a row, NGO Our Action provided volunteer support to the Boka sprint triathlon held in Perast on Sunday, 8th of September. Volunteers from a number of different cities got up in the very early morning hours to travel to the event and to support our partners from the Kotor Triathlon Club. This year, for the first time, our organization had a registered team of three members – Filip Drobnjak, Dejan Besovic who finished fourth in their category, and Slavo Bozovic who won first place. Congratulations to our participants on their success. Volunteers enjoyed the day in Perast, which of course include swimming, socializing and meeting new people. Our volunteers where lead by youth coordinator Dusan Vukadinovic.

Muo humanitarian dance night 2019

On Friday, August 30, the 5th humanitarian dance evening was held on the Muo waterfront. This year’s charity event, at the discretion of organizers Muo municipality and the NGO Our Action, was organized in honor of Jovan Cenic, a young boy who is the only person from Kotor on the Be Human Foundation list and who needs help treating cerebral palsy. 358 Euros were raised. The dance party brought together many citizens of all generations, Yugo-nostalgics and those who are not, but all enjoyed the performance of City band, the phenomenal Exodus group and flashmob dances of young volunteers, as well as a gourmet seafood pasta prepared by young volunteers. The sponsors of this event are TO Kotor and Rogo fruit doo. Through this activity, young people learned how to organize a humanitarian event and how important it is to help their fellow citizens. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to the success of this wonderful event. A special thank you goes to the Waste management company of Kotor, which mowed and washed the waterfront, and donated funds for the treatment of boys

Volunteer support for Bjelasica Ultra Trail event

On August 17, 2019, NGO Our Action, with its more experienced volunteers from Kotor and Podgorica, supported a new sports competition in Montenegro – Bjelasica Ultra Trail. This event was first held and organized by young people from this area. In our desire to continue our practice of supporting new organizations, new initiatives especially initiated by young people, we were able to gather a support team and give a contribution in the midst of a very busy season. To the organizers, every word of praise at this first Ultra Trail Globe is an event that will surely have its long-standing foothold in the offering of events in Kolasin. As for the volunteers of our action, we met new wonderful people, a new terrain, enjoyed the Kolasin and Bjelasica, the need to have a fireplace in the middle of August, homemade pancakes, kacamak and a general atmosphere. First installation of Youth for Clean Adriatic Project Completed

As part of the Youth for a Clean Adriatic project funded by Beyond plastic Med and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco for the Kotor Festival of Children’s Theater, the first installation was designed to highlight plastic pollution and environmental problems such as primarily the sea. The installation was made by the skilled hands of the local town Mijo Milovanovic and the installation was completed by the young hardworking hands of the volunteers of the NGO Our action and the Kotor Festival of Children’s Theater. Karneval mask “Angry Poseidon”

In the 18th International Kotor summer carnival, youth volunteer of NGO Our action tried again in a creative way to raise awareness to the topic of plastic pollution of the sea with a mask called “Angry Poseidon”. This organization thru the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” has in a large way drawn attention of the public thru art, various installations and coastal clean up actions to this global problem by acting locally. The carnival mask describes Poseidon, the god of the sea, who angrily reacts to the plastic in his waters and the people polluting. He is carrying a trident that pierces a bottle of worlds largest polluter of plastic bottles. The rest of the team of NGO Our action supported the organization of the carnival. Beach clean-up – Flower island and Saint Marko

Three organizations, NGO Our action, SUP4ME and Ne bacajte boce, in joint forces realized another coastal clean-up activity as part of our project “Youth for a clean Adriatic”. From primarily plastic waste the coast of the island of flowers and the island of Saint Marco where cleared using SUP boards for transportation. All activities of the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” where realized under the financial support of Beyond plastic Med and the foundation of Prince Albert II of Monaco. Volunteer support – Summer carnival Kotor 2019

This year again NGO Our action will provide volunteer support for the summer carnival Kotor 2019. Additionally as part of the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” we will be part of the carnival festivities with a mask called “Angry Poseidon”. The activities will start at 4pm on Saturday, August 3rd. Volunteer registration will be accepted until the 28th of july.

The last of the workshops for children for the Kotor theather childrens festival

The last of the workshops for the children volunteer club as part of the 27th Kotor festival for children was held on the 12th of jun, and was dedicated to the protection of the sea from pollution. Children participated in the Havaiian water ceremony for the protection of the sea, wrote messages onto leaves and let them into the water. Some of the messages “Stop polluting”, “Stop plastic in the sea”, “The sea is our life”, decorated many leaves and showed the hopes of children for a plastic free ocean. After the ceremony the children visited the Dragon spitting plastic installation with the youth educators from NGO Our action. This educational activity was part of the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” financed by Beyond plastic Med and the foundation of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Cleaning Skurda river & education on plastic pollution, Kotor

NGO Our action, among volunteer commitments as part of the Kotor Festival for Children’s Theaters, cleared yesterday the upper part of Skurda, which was primarily contaminated with plastic, which remained and entangled in seagrass at this location. NGO Our Action this year pays close attention to marine pollution through its ‘Youth for a Clean Adriatic’ project funded by Beyond plastic Med and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco. With this action, the youth delighted both citizens and tourists.
