Refeshing playground – Stari aerodrom, faze 1
On Monday, October 28, the first phase of refreshment of the playgrounds and spaces at the Old Airport near the Health Center was initiated, across from bus stop 7 & 8. NGO Our action volunteers managed to paint wooden benches, and swing frame as well as a metal bench and football goal frames before the afternoon school shift. Most of this inventory was set up by volunteers from the NGO Our action already in 2013 and needed to be refreshed. We have also received a seedling donation so the next phase will involve planting and assembling the swings. In the meantime, we learn from the Greening department that they have applied for funds for a large playground to be built on this site. In the hope that it will not be wooden but other materials, we wish the children of this area to finally get a quality durable playground that will last as long as the structures that are now in the area.
